Dog Gets Loose, Bites Person In Avon Lake: Police

AVON LAKE, OH — A resident on Brockcrest Place reported that a neighbor's dog got loose and bi them. The resident was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to Avon Lake police records.

The incident happened November 16 at 6 p.m. A dog got loose, ran into the neighbor's yard and bit a resident. A relative drove the resident to the hospital for treatment, according to Avon Lake police records.

Officers investigated the incident and located the dog's owner. The dog owner was cited for animals at large.

The owner will be arraigned in Avon Lake Municipal Court in December. The citation is a second-degree misdemeanor.
