Lakeside Nutrition To Celebrate Grand Opening In Avon Lake

AVON LAKE, OH — Grand opening ceremonies for Lakeside Nutrition will be held Saturday morning in Avon Lake. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place just before the Big Trucks event at the Safety Center.

Lakeside Nutrition is the newest business at the Towne Center complex. The shop sells protein shakes, meal replacement shakes and teas that boost metabolism. The business is owned by Julian Lee and Dartanian Dalziell.

“We serve tasty healthier alternatives, meal replacement shakes and energizing teas, but at the same time we’re not just a shake bar,” said Lee. “Lakeside Nutrition is a place where you can stop in for quick healthy meal on the go, and at the same time somewhere customers can relax and stay for as long as they’d like. We enjoy interacting with customers and creating a sense of community, it’s not exclusively for fitness.”

The most popular menu choice at Lakeside Nutrition is a combo featuring a healthy meal replacement shake and an energizing tea. There are a wide range of flavors available, including fried ice cream, birthday cake and raspberry cheesecake. The teas come in flavors like Skittles and Jolly Ranchers.

“Lakeside Nutrition brings something completely new to Avon Lake,” said Ted Esborn, the city’s economic development director. “I hope that people give their shakes and teas a try — I think they may find them to be great additions to a fitness routine or just something fast and easy to get you through the day.”

Lakeside Nutrition will have free WiFi, board games and a Nintendo Switch hooked up to a TV for customers that want to relax and hang out. The business also coordinates a work-out buddy list, group dog walks, fitness challenges and more.

Towne Center now features 10 shops and businesses despite lacking an anchor tenant. Adding Lakeside Nutrition to the complex was a strategic decision, the owners said.

“I don’t think I could have asked for a better location for Lakeside Nutrition,” said Lee. “Our spot is in between two gyms, within a mile of the high school, and only five minutes from the Avon Planet Fitness.”
