Mother Has Drunk, Adult Son Arrested In Avon Lake

Police said the man was visibly intoxicated inside his mother's home.

AVON LAKE, OH —A 52-year-old man got drunk at his mother's house, causing her to call police for help. The man was arrested after he shouted at his mother and was visibly intoxicated.

The incident started Dec. 6 at 6:20 p.m. Both police and fire crews were sent to a house on Lakewood Drive because a man was reportedly falling over drunk. The man's mother had called 911 asking for help.

When officers arrived the man was sitting at the foot of a couch in the living room. He yelled at his mother for calling the police and told officers he did not need medical attention. Police said he was visibly intoxicated.

While at the house, dispatch confirmed the man had a warrant for drinking and driving in Olmsted Falls. The 52-year-old was taken into custody and driven to a gas station in North Ridgeville, to be transferred to Olmsted Falls police.

Police said the man was safely transferred into the care of the other department.
