Narcan Revives Overdosing Avon Lake Man, Police Say

Several doses of the anti-overdose drug had to be given to the man, according to police records.

AVON LAKE, OH — Several doses of the anti-overdose drug Narcan had to be administered to a 28-year-old Avon Lake man last week.

A little after 11 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, police were called to an Avon Lake home for reports of an overdosing man. Crews found the 28-year-old overdosing on an unknown narcotic.

Emergency personnel administered several doses of Narcan to the man, according to Avon Lake police records. The man was then taken to Avon Cleveland Clinic by the fire department.

The last drug-related incident (not connected to marijuana) in Avon Lake happened March 11. A 33-year-old Avon Lake woman was rushed to the hospital after she was found unconscious in a house. The woman's father called 911 when he found his daughter.

The woman was semi-conscious when emergency services left the scene, and she was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and endangering children, according to Avon Lake Police records obtained by Patch.

Two days before that woman was charged, a 26-year-old Sheffield Lake man was arrested after police found him unconscious in his car. Police suspected the man had been using narcotics, according to records.
