The longtime mortgage professional and animal lover, who moved to North Ridgeville after years in Florida, will be remembered in a morning visitation and service followed by inurnment. 
• High school cross country: Wooster's fast course yields top times (morningjournal.com) — Avon High School's girls cross country team turned in a standout performance at the Wooster Invitational, even though a scoring quirk cost them a likely team win. Senior leader Ava Melott and a tightly packed group of younger runners posted strong times, signaling that Avon remains a state-level contender despite graduating several key athletes.
