• Indoor go-karting facility now open in Avon (chroniclet.com) — A new 70,000-square-foot K1 Speed indoor go-kart facility has opened on Nagel Road in Avon, bringing year-round racing, arcade games, and on-site dining just minutes from local neighborhoods. The center adds about 40 jobs in Avon and aims to host birthday parties, company events, and community gatherings for residents across Lorain County and the greater Cleveland area. 
• H.S. Tennis: Amherst, Avon have big days at LCAAA tourney (chroniclet.com) — Avon High School's girls tennis program turned in a strong showing at the Lorain County Athletic Administrators Association doubles tournament hosted in Avon, with the Varsity A squad winning three flights and Varsity B also placing well. Amherst edged Avon for the top first doubles title, but Eagles coach Eric Korey praised his deep roster and the way Avon players battled through rain delays and tight matches.
