Peace, Love And Little Donuts Opens Avon Store Oct. 31

AVON, OH — Peace, Love and Little Donuts will open its brand new Avon location on Wednesday, October 31, the company announced. The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held in the late morning on Halloween.

The store is located at 37300 Detroit Road. The grand opening event will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the ribbon-cutting and speeches starting at 11 a.m.

Peace, Love and Little Donuts has become a regional phenomenon, sweeping across parts of the U.S. The chain has begun opening locations across Northeast Ohio, and has plans to open a store in Columbus.

Peace, Love and Little Donuts locations are known for their tasty and unique doughnut creations, including warm “Groovy” doughnuts caked in cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, and honey glazed. “Far Out” donuts are topped with a variety of delectable frostings. "Funkadelic” specialty flavors include frosted donuts adorned with fresh toppings, such as the iconic Maple Bacon, S'mores, Salted Chocolate, Cherry Cheesecake, and Raspberry Lemonade, among others, the chain said in a press release.

The Avon location will include an "open theater" where customers can watch their doughnuts being made. The store on Detroit Road will also have a strong, 1970s, hippie vibe, with symbols from the era adorning the walls.

Besides Wednesday's grand opening, there will be other grand opening celebration events running through Saturday, November 3, including a Doggie Donut Day bone-cutting event. That event will be held in recognition of Moose's Mission, a local non-profit that provides blankets and toys for dogs in shelters and rescues.

During the Doggie Donut Day every dog will get a complimentary doughnut. That event will run from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 3.

The Avon Peace, Love and Little Donuts will form a partnership with Moose's Mission. Details on that partnership will be unveiled on Wednesday.
