Photography Studio Holding Ribbon Cutting This Week In Avon Lake
Thomas & Thomas will celebrate the renovation of its new space on Lear Road on Thursday.

AVON LAKE, OH - The Thomas & Thomas Westshore Studio will have a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Thomas & Thomas is a photography studio that has been in business for more than three decades. The studio focuses primarily on offering services to graduating high school seniors.
Sarah Edelman and Amy Nahra purchased Thomas & Thomas in 2009 and moved it to Avon Lake, from Bay Village, in 2017. The studio recently completed a sweeping renovation of its new facility on Lear Road, prompting Avon Lake city officials to hold the ribbon cutting.

Edelman said she and Nahra were originally seeking business locations along Detroit Road, between Avon Lake and Rocky River. However, they were left with few options. When they visited the Lear Road property, they saw potential.
“We made plans to put a big addition for the photography studio,” said Edelman, “the older part is now our sales room and offices.”

The Lear Road offices are about 1,500 square feet, with two floors of natural lit studio. The south wall has 16 windows, from floor to ceiling. The increased space doubled the size of Thomas & Thomas.
“Leaving an established business in Bay Village was hard,” said Edelman, “but we are so excited to be in Avon Lake and growing here!”
Thomas & Thomas will be located on the northern end of Lear Road, amidst a collection of family-owned businesses in a walkable neighborhood. The company's address is 173 Lear Road.
“Thomas & Thomas has made this charming, historic neighborhood part of their photography business,” said Ted Esborn, Economic Development Director for the City of Avon Lake. “Their facility is also a significant new investment in Avon Lake and in this area of town specifically. They have created a space that we are proud of, and we look forward to working with them as they build their Avon Lake business."
