Planet Fitness Opening In Avon, Meet Cavs Star At Ribbon Cutting

AVON, OH — Planet Fitness will open a new location in Avon on Jan. 30, the company announced. The gym will be housed at 35015 Chester Road.

“We’re thrilled to bring our Judgement Free fitness experience to Avon, and we encourage everyone to come check out the new club, meet our friendly staff, get a tour and see what the Judgement Free Zone is all about,” said Priscilla Merrick, Planet Fitness marketing manager.

On Jan. 30, there will be a grand opening ceremony, with a ribbon cutting and appearances from Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Collin Sexton and former Cleveland Browns cornerback Hanford Dixon. Both athletes will sign autographs and take pictures with guests from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests at the grand opening can get complimentary pizza and treats, and enter a raffle for a 1-year Black Card membership, autographed Cleveland Cavaliers memorabilia, and more prizes.

The Avon Planet Fitness is 27,782 square feet and has 120 pieces of cardio and strength equipment, fully equipped locker rooms, numerous flat screen TVs, HydroMassage loungers, massage chairs, tanning booths, and more. The facility will be open and staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
