Burger Joint Swensons Announces New Avon Location

AVON, OH — Swensons is continuing its aggressive expansion plans in Northeast Ohio with a new location in Avon. News of the burger joint's planned location was broken on Facebook by Avon City Councilwoman Tammy Holtzmeier.

The Avon Swensons will be located at 36041 Main Street, between Firestone Complete Auto Care and the Salvation Army, the councilwoman said. The restaurant will be open year-round.

Swensons recently opened its second Cuyahoga County restaurant in University Heights and has already announced plans to open another location in North Olmsted. The North Olmsted location will be located on Lorain Road.

It's unclear when the Avon or North Olmsted locations will be open. It is clear, however, that the restaurant has created a devoted, almost cult-like following. Cleveland's east side suburb residents were ecstatic when the University Heights location was announced and the restaurant has been packed since opening. A similar response should be expected in Avon.
