Beachwood Schools Earn More State Honors
Hilltop Elementary School was recognized again as a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

BEACHWOOD, OH - The Ohio Department of Education has recently recognized several Beachwood schools for their performance on the 2015 state assessments on which the district had the third highest performance among Ohio's 610 school districts.
Beachwood High School and Bryden Elementary School were named "All A Award" winners for "earning straight A's on all applicable report card measures." Only 44 schools statewide received this honor.
Hilltop Elementary School was recognized again as a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence for performance "as measured by state assessments in both reading and mathematics." Only 14 schools statewide received this honor.

The district also scored highly on the state report card:
- Achievement - A
- Progress - B
- Gap Closing - B
- Graduation Rate - A
- Prepared for Success - B
- K-3 Literacy - Not Rated
The K-3 Literacy component was only applicable to school districts that had 5 percent or more of their K-3 students reading below their grade level last year.
