• Filling Backpacks, Building Futures (examiner.org) — Logan County’s annual Stuff the Bus drive is underway, collecting school supplies that will go directly to Bellefontaine City Schools and other nearby districts. Through August 17, residents can donate items or money, then volunteer on Community Care Day to help sort and distribute backpacks so local students start school prepared.
   

• Wanted man's sprint through Dollar General ends in arrest (peakofohio.com) — Police in Bellefontaine arrested a local man Tuesday evening after he ran from officers inside the Dollar General on North Main Street and was found behind the nearby library. Deputies and city police say he was wanted on two bench warrants and is now also facing a resisting arrest charge after allegedly struggling during handcuffing.
   

• Three crashes keep deputies busy Tuesday afternoon (peakofohio.com) — Logan County deputies handled three separate crashes Tuesday afternoon, including one that sent a Bellefontaine teen driver and a young passenger to Mary Rutan Hospital with minor injuries. Another Bellefontaine driver was cited after a rear-end collision on U.S. 68, and a third crash on State Route 273 involved out-of-county motorists but no injuries.
