• Boil advisory issued for portion of South Main Street following water line break (peakofohio.com) — Bellefontaine officials have issued a boil advisory for water customers along South Main Street from 1515 to 1711 after Monday’s water main break. Affected residents should boil water for three minutes before drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth and contact the Bellefontaine Water Department if they experience low pressure or service loss.
   

• Protection order violation lands Bray in jail (peakofohio.com) — Bellefontaine police arrested a man Sunday after they say he twice went to a protected person’s East Columbus Avenue residence in violation of a civil protection order. Officers later found him nearby with a knife and pepper spray, took him for medical evaluation after he injured himself in the cruiser, and then lodged him in the Logan County Jail on the protection order charge.
   

• Big changes proposed for Harmon Field (peakofohio.com) — Bellefontaine’s recreation board has voted to rename Harmon Field in honor of longtime parks leader Kris Myers, and the proposal now heads to city council next Tuesday. Leaders also discussed busy summer ball seasons, upcoming tournaments at Southview Park, grant funding for Hoffman Pool, and repairs to the pickleball courts that many residents use.
