• Brecksville-Broadview Heights officials say combined operating levy-permanent improvement levy unlikely (cleveland.com) — Brecksville-Broadview Heights school leaders are weighing a 5.9-mill operating levy for May 2027 while likely delaying a separate permanent-improvement levy to protect day-to-day classroom funding. A seven-phase Mill Road campus plan—ranging from new bus loops to major stadium upgrades and possible middle school renovations—remains largely unfunded, and officials say residents will ultimately decide how much of the vision to pursue. 
• New report shows Lubrizol's share of Brecksville tax withholdings ahead of 2028 exit (cleveland.com) — Lubrizol currently accounts for just over 7% of Brecksville's income-tax withholdings, and its planned move to Wickliffe by 2029 will leave a major hole in the city's employer base. City reports stress that finances remain strong for now and frame the 160-acre Lubrizol site as a prime redevelopment opportunity that Brecksville will tackle with county and state partners.
• Fairview Park tightens e-bike rules as Northeast Ohio cities confront surge in electric riders (cleveland.com) — Fairview Park just overhauled its e-bike and scooter rules, part of a broader Northeast Ohio trend that now includes new helmet and sidewalk restrictions in Brecksville. With each nearby suburb setting slightly different standards, riders and parents should know that what's legal on e-bikes in one community may come with stricter helmet or sidewalk limits as soon as they cross a city line.
