• Akron man get 4 to 6 years for drugs after Rootstown stop (record-courier.com) — A Portage County judge has sentenced an Akron man to four to six years in prison after deputies stopped his SUV on Interstate 76 in Brimfield Township and found suspected ecstasy pills, meth, and a handgun. The traffic stop near NEOMED and Rootstown schools led to felony drug convictions for both the driver and his passenger, along with fines and cash forfeitures.
