• Safe Routes grant to fund new sidewalks near Plain's Glenwood school (cantonrep.com) — New Safe Routes to School funding will bring nearly $775,000 in sidewalks and safety upgrades along 44th Street NW near Plain Local's Glenwood Intermediate, directly affecting Canton-area families' school commutes. The project includes new sidewalks, a pedestrian island, and a walkway to the school entrance, with design work funded and expected to begin as soon as the city can start.
   

• 'The floors don't creak.' Regional Planning Commission moves to Stark County Building (kentucky.com) — The Stark County Regional Planning Commission has moved into renovated offices in the Stark County Office Building in downtown Canton, bringing staff closer to other county departments they work with daily. The new space offers modern meeting rooms, updated technology, and a more efficient layout, while the county considers auctioning off the older, deteriorating 3rd Street building.
