• CCPH Plays Roles With Data Center Operations (whbc.com) — Two major data centers planned for eastern Canton will operate under air pollution permits overseen by Canton City Public Health, which also runs three local air monitors. Health Commissioner Amanda Archer says emissions must meet current standards, and any link between data centers and community health issues would require further study. Residents can expect ongoing monitoring of particles, ozone, and long-term health trends.

• Artist Patrick Buckohr repainting Minerva's Haas Museum murals (cantonrep.com) — Canton artist Patrick G. Buckohr, who runs an art studio and BbTattoo in downtown Canton with his son, is restoring the historical murals he first painted at Minerva's Haas Museum in 2005. Since June he's been carefully repainting the seven-panel display, adding new details and corrections, and hopes to finish by late September, weather permitting. His larger body of work includes sculptures and memorials across nearby communities.

• New leader to guide Akron-Canton food bank (cantonrep.com) — Leadership at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, which operates a Canton branch serving Stark County and beyond, will shift as longtime CEO Dan Flowers steps down Dec. 31. Executive Vice President Katie Carver Reed will take over Jan. 1, 2027, guiding the organization that supplies millions of meals to local pantries, shelters, and meal sites across eight counties.
