• Chillicothe Police Crime Log – June 21, 2026 (sciotovalleyguardian.com) — Chillicothe police handled nine calls on June 21, including a serious threat at Walmart that led to an evacuation and a response from the Franklin County Bomb Squad. Officers also dealt with a single-vehicle crash, trespassing at a local baseball field, thefts, warrants, and harassment complaints at several familiar streets and businesses around town.
   

• Ohio junior fair boards deliver record food donations (farmanddairy.com) — Youth leaders from Ross County’s Junior Fair Board helped channel more than 122,000 pounds of donations, including over 100,000 pounds of bottled water, to the Good Samaritan Food Pantry in Chillicothe. Their work is already supporting local families, first responders, schools and churches, and organizers say they’re now shifting from just heavy items to what Chillicothe-area pantries say they need most.
   

• More than 500 Ohio communities join America 250 celebration (chillicothegazette.com) — Chillicothe and Ross County have officially been designated “America 250-Ohio Communities,” giving local organizers access to toolkits, networking, and grants to plan 250th birthday celebrations for the United States. That means more support for future historical exhibits, festivals, and educational events that can highlight Chillicothe’s role in Ohio and U.S. history through 2026.
