The family-owned shop, described as more like a community than a company, is contacting customers with outstanding appliance orders to explain next steps during the transition.

UPDATE – Pedestrian Struck, Seriously Injured in Nighttime Crash on Eastern Avenue in Chillicothe (sciotopost.com) — A man walking along Eastern Avenue in Chillicothe was seriously injured Sunday night when a car struck him from behind on a dark stretch of US 50. Police say poor lighting, lack of reflective clothing, and nighttime conditions contributed, and officers ultimately cited the pedestrian for being in the roadway and the driver for expired registration.
   

3. Chillicothe Chamber Developing Relief Plan for Businesses Impacted by Bridge Street Construction (sciotopost.com) — Businesses along North Bridge Street in Chillicothe are facing steep drops in traffic during ongoing ODOT construction, and the Chillicothe Ross Chamber of Commerce is building a relief plan to help. Chamber leaders are gathering input from affected owners, exploring grants and loans, and preparing a marketing push that could later expand to other construction-impacted areas like High Street.

Tragedy in Ross County: 19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in US 50 Collision (sciotopost.com) — A 19-year-old Chillicothe motorcyclist died after a Sunday evening collision with an SUV at US 50 and Veterans Parkway in Ross County, shutting down westbound lanes for about two hours. Troopers from the Chillicothe Post are still investigating whether speed or other factors played a role, and no charges have yet been announced.

Blanchester Girl Scout troop surpasses goals with 580-box cookie donation (wnewsj.com) — Blanchester Girl Scout Troop 45988 sent 335 donated cookie boxes to the Chillicothe VA Medical Center as part of a 580-box effort supporting veterans across the region. Volunteers, including Pam Pogue honoring her late veteran husband, and many local businesses helped ensure Chillicothe-area veterans and families feel appreciated.
