Staffing shortages delay trash pickups across Cincinnati (wlwt.com) — Trash collection was skipped in 13 Cincinnati neighborhoods this week because of staffing shortages at the Department of Public Services. If your home in areas like Hyde Park, Westwood, Oakley, or Madisonville was missed, your trash will not be collected until your next regular pickup starting Sept. 14, and residents are asked not to set carts out until then.
   

2. CPD investigating crash in downtown Cincinnati; life-threatening injuries said to be involved (wlwt.com) — Police are investigating a serious crash involving a motorcycle and SUV at Race Street and West Court Street in downtown Cincinnati, where at least one person reportedly suffered potentially life-threatening injuries. Officers are still working to identify the motorcyclist, currently listed as a John Doe, and additional details are expected as the investigation continues.
   

3. Cincinnati ZIP Code Holds $22.9 Million in Unclaimed Ohio Funds (memesita.com) — Residents in at least one Cincinnati ZIP code are collectively owed $22.9 million in forgotten bank accounts, checks, and other assets now held by the state.
