Cleveland police search for missing 24-year-old Maryland man in town for Browns-Steelers game (news5cleveland.com) — Cleveland police are asking residents to help find 24-year-old Maryland visitor Phoenix Phillips, a Steelers fan last seen around 6 a.m. Friday near West 10th Street and West Superior. Detectives and the nonprofit Cleveland Missing are canvassing the area and supporting his out-of-state family, and anyone with information is urged to call Cleveland police at 216-835-6179.
3. VA Pharmacy Upgrades Bring New AI Capabilities to EHRs (govciomedia.com) — Cleveland's VA facilities are set to get upgraded electronic health records and new AI-powered pharmacy tools, with a go-live date targeted for Oct. 24. Local veterans and staff can expect more efficient prescription processing and automated visit note-taking, as pharmacists train on the system ahead of a broader national rollout.
4. Man convicted in 2012 Ohio bridge bombing plot indicted for possessing ricin (cleveland.com) — Federal prosecutors in Cleveland have indicted Brandon Baxter of East Cleveland on charges related to possessing the deadly toxin ricin, years after his conviction in the 2012 Cuyahoga Valley bridge bombing plot. The FBI's Cleveland Division, Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office, and East Cleveland police are investigating, with Baxter facing up to 15 years in prison on each count if convicted.
