Browns' Myles Garrett Breaks Twitter Silence After Suspension
In a message posted on New Year's Day, Garrett said, "Good or bad, it all shall pass."

CLEVELAND — Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett broke his Twitter silence on New Year's Day, sharing a message with fans that ended with the line, "Good or bad, it all shall pass." Garrett has been suspended since a Thursday night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in November.
The defensive end had a controversial 2019. In his last game of the season, Garrett ripped off the helmet of Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and, using the helmet as a weapon, hit him in the head. The NFL decided to suspend Garrett indefinitely for his actions.
Shortly after the suspension was announced, Garrett thanked fans for their support and then went silent on Twitter. He broke the quiet with a message posted on New Year's Day.

The defensive end's Tweet comes at an apt time for the Browns. The team is once again in a period of upheaval, having fired head coach Freddie Kitchens and general manager John Dorsey. Owner Jimmy Haslam is once again looking for new leadership for his team.

The Browns have made a habit of firing general managers and head coaches after only a season or two. Haslam bought the team seven years ago, and the Browns are now seeking their sixth general manager. Haslam has had seven head coaches in seven years.
While Garrett's suspension will likely end in 2020, Browns fans have to be wondering when this never-ending malaise may break and the team may finally, finally, start winning games.
