Cleveland Cavaliers Bump Up Nov. 1 Game Time to Avoid Conflict with Indians

Tip-off for the basketball team will now be 6 p.m. First pitch in Game 6 of the World Series is scheduled for 8:08 p.m.

CLEVELAND, OH - Were you worried about missing the Cavaliers game to watch the Indians try and clinch the title? Or maybe you're a die hard basketball fanatic that didn't want to miss a minute of LeBron James taking on the Houston Rockets? Well, worry no more. The Cleveland Cavaliers will now tip-off their game at 6 p.m., allowing fans to watch the majority of both games.

Cavaliers' owner Dan Gilbert took to Twitter to announce the decision to bump up the start time. He said he and the rest of the organization had to lobby the NBA hard, but were able to pull off the schedule adjustment. He also said that the Cavs-Rockets game should be done by the second inning of Game 6 of the World Series.

The Cavaliers and Indians have shown each other a great deal of mutual respect. During last week's Cleveland Sports-pocalypse, the Cavs moved their start time up 30 minutes and showed the Tribe game during breaks in the action. Several Tribe players sat down for interviews congratulating the Cavaliers on last season's drought-ending title run.

LeBron and the rest of the Cavs have all been spotted hanging out in a suite at Progressive Field during the World Series. James even came onto the field and hyped the crowd during Game 2 of the World Series.

The decision to adjust tip-off for fans is just the latest chapter in a blossoming bro-mance between the Cavaliers and Tribe.
