Construction of Cleveland State University Apartment Complex The Edge to Begin
The Edge, a residential apartment complex across from Cleveland State University, will begin construction.

Years after plans were initially approved, Cleveland State is moving forward on the construction of a 240-unit apartment complex across the street from its quad.
The student housing project known as The Edge will take up the entire block of 18th Street between Prospect and Euclid avenues, reported cleveland.com.
The 11-story building will be constructed by the Clayco Realty Group and will replace two empty buildings owned by the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.

The project, which was approved by the city’s planning commission in 2014, is expected to open by the 2016 fall semester. The current structures will begin to be cleared and prepared for demolition in March or April, according to Clayco Realty Group.
The Edge isn’t your average dorm, either. With features like a fitness center, lounge, cafe and study areas, it sounds more like a luxury apartment complex. The building will also contain an outdoor courtyard and it’s exterior is made from glass, brick and fiber cement panels, according to Claycomb.

Residents of The Edge will live in one, two or three-bedroom suites featuring a living room, kitchen, washer/dryer and private bath for each bedroom.
