Gov. Mike DeWine Tests Negative For COVID-19
Gov. Mike DeWine, his wife Fran, and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted all took COVID-19 tests on Tuesday.

COLUMBUS, OH — Gov. Mike DeWine has tested negative for COVID-19.
DeWine, his wife Fran, and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted were tested for the virus during a news conference on Tuesday. The trio's test results came back negative on Wednesday, the governor announced on social media.
Ohio has seen a steady uptick in new COVID-19 cases over the past week. DeWine is encouraging Ohioans to seek out COVID-19 tests and to follow health and safety protocols, including maintaining social distance from others, frequently washing your hands and wearing a mask in public.

The state has launched three new advertisements to encourage Ohioans to follow health and safety protocols. DeWine said the ads note that Ohio's economic recovery is tied into the state's ability to stymie COVID-19.
The ads were paid for using the Ohio Department of Health's budget. They will air on broadcast and cable television.
