Ohio Gas Prices Drop Significantly In One Week
The average gallon of regular gasoline in the Buckeye State has dropped 8 cents in a week.

Gas prices in Ohio are staying mostly steady month-over-month, which means they've remained steadily below the national average. A gallon of regular gasoline in Ohio will cost you approximately $2.11 this week. The national average for a gallon of regular is up to $2.29, so Buckeyers are continuing their streak of cheaper than the national average gas.
Plus, gas prices in Ohio are dropping. Last week, Ohioans were paying an average of $2.19 for a gallon of regular. In seven days, that price has dropped a solid 8 cents, pushing our current average price for a gallon of regular closer to last month's average of $2.10.
Unfortunately, Ohio is still way off of last year's average cost for a gallon of regular gas, $1.90. The national average for a gallon of regular last year was $1.94.

AAA, the travel organization, says gas prices may be dropping due to the declining prices of crude oil. However, AAA says oil prices will begin creeping up again in the second quarter due to normal maintenance and the May switchover to summer-blend gasoline.
Ohio had one of the largest single week changes in average gas prices.
