STEM careers figure prominently in U.S. News & World Reports 2017 list of the 100 Best Jobs; find them on the Cleveland Patch Jobs Board.

CLEVELAND, OHIO — U.S. News & World Report came out with its 100 Best Jobs of 2017 list last week, and though jobs in the health-care jobs dominated it, STEM jobs — those in science, technology, engineering and math — were also prominent on the list.

The magazine said industry experts haven’t reach consensus on the much-touted shortage of STEM professionals, but neither did it find there’s a surplus. Competition for jobs is fierce, with a relatively low unemployment rate among STEM professionals, and studies show an uptick in hiring of STEM professionals in 2017.

And jobs in the field are more diverse than you may think.
