36-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Home On Coventry Road

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — A 36-year-old man was shot and killed on Coventry Road over the weekend. Khalil Woods was found in a home on the street and rushed to University Hospitals, where he passed away from his injuries, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office said.

The shooting happened in the 1600 block of Coventry Road, near Mayfield Cemetery and Mayfield Road. The Medical Examiner said his death has been ruled a suspected homicide.

Woods was found inside the Cleveland Heights home at about 8:45 p.m., according to Fox 8. His body was found on the first floor of the house.

Cleveland Heights Police reportedly provided first aid to Woods until he was taken to University Hospitals.
