Franklin Cohen is not only the Founding Father (literally) of&nbsp;ChamberFest Cleveland, he is&nbsp;one of the most outstanding clarinetists, musicians, and teachers of his generation. With a professional career&nbsp;that includes&nbsp;a historic tenure as Principal Clarinet of The Cleveland Orchestra, two Grammy awards, and 50 years on faculty at CIM, Frank’s extraordinary legacy is well worth celebrating. (Plus,&nbsp;he’s&nbsp;turning 80 this summer!) Colleagues, alumni, friends, and musical family share the stage for an unforgettable tribute to “one of the most cultivated proponents of the instrument walking the earth.”

This&nbsp;triptych of works begins&nbsp;with&nbsp;a charming&nbsp;sonata&nbsp;for a colorful variety of instruments featuring the dance rhythms of the Spanish Baroque. Then Composer-in-Residence Benjamin Yusupov draws on musical sources from various ethnic Jewish communities around the globe, evoking the sounds of klezmer and cimbalom. Finally, Aaron Copland described his iconic Pulitzer prize-winning&nbsp;Appalachian Spring&nbsp;as&nbsp;representing&nbsp;“the&nbsp;pioneer American spirit, with youth and spring, with optimism and hope.”

Celebrate summer with a playful decorating class that turns cupcakes into picnic favorites! In this hands‑on workshop, you’ll design six cupcakes inspired by classic cookout treats — hamburgers, hot dogs, and snow cones — each crafted with clever frosting techniques and creative details.
🍔 Hamburger Cupcake: features a fudgy brownie “burger patty” layered with frosting “cheese,” “lettuce,” and “tomato.” 🌭 Hot Dog Cupcake: topped with a smooth icing “hot dog” nestled in a sweet bun and finished with piped “mustard” and “ketchup.” 🍧 Snow Cone Cupcake: sparkling with red, yellow, and blue sugar crystals for a cool, festive finish.

July 25 – Sun-Kissed Sweets: Summer Cookie Decorating Workshop- 2:30pm – 4:00pm
Join me for a 1.5-hour workshop at Stone Oven Bakery on Lee Rd, on how to decorate Sun-Kissed Sweets: Summer themed cookies (sunglasses, popsicle, sun, watermelon).
You will be provided 4 pre-baked sugar cookies, royal icing in the shades of our theme, and a yummy glass of hot cocoa, coffee, or cool drink. I will teach you basic piping, and flooding techniques.&nbsp; Each student will take home 4 self-decorated cookies, instruction on how to do it at home, and recipes.
