50 Heights Students Inducted Into National Honor Soceity

The students had to have at least a 3.5 GPA to qualify. And that's just to qualify.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Some 50 sophomores and juniors at Heights High were inducted into the National Honor Society last week. The high school already has 86 current members, so the Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District has a lot of reasons to be proud of its students.

To be considered for the NHS, students must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Students must also demonstrate their achievements in three other NHS "pillars": character, service and leadership.

To celebrate the mass of NHS additions, an induction ceremony was held on April 19. The event featured keynote speaker Richard Stewart, president of Digizoom Media, a full-service video production company and a Heights High alumnus.
