CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€”An amber alert has been issued for 6-month-old Emery Seals. Police believe the girl was abducted by her biological mother.

The child was taken from her home on Noble Road on early Saturday morning. The girl's mother, Alexis Barnes, 26, lost custody of her child in July, due to her inability to care for her daughter, police said.

Seals is about 25 inches tall and weighs only about 14 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white, orange and grey hat and outfit, with a fluffy white coat.

Due to Barnes' mental condition, and current weather, police believe there is a threat to Emery's well-being. "Alexis is considered mentally unstable and unable to care for Emery and therefore there is concern for her well-being and at risk of being harmed," Cleveland Heights police said on Facebook.
