Beaumont School Senior Wins Award in BBB Scholarship Contest

Better Business Bureau Scholarship Competition

Better Business Bureau Serving Greater Cleveland presented its Students of Integrity Awards today to four Greater Cleveland high school students who personify integrity through their leadership, community service, academics, and strong character ethics.

Lindsey Clark, a Beaumont School senior, was awarded a $1000 scholarship. Along with her academic accomplishments, she enjoys working with children by spending her summer teaching swim lessons and volunteering at a local charter school. Last summer, Clark also became a campaign intern for US Senator Rob Portman. At Beaumont, she is captain of both the varsity lacrosse and swim team. She developed the “Knitting Coalition” which teaches others to knit/crochet preemie blankets, chemo caps, and items for the homeless. Her guidance counselor said, “It is rare to meet a student with such passion, care and kindness, coupled with immense talent and a drive to make this world a better place.”

A total of 49 public and private high schools within the BBB’s five county service area participated by selecting their own Student of Integrity who in turn, submitted an essay to the BBB.
