Bites Nearby: Felice Urban Café

— If you’re fond of starting a meal with a plate of grilled baby octopus (and who isn’t?), then Felice on Larchmere may be just your kind of place.

Set in a charming turn-of-the-20^th-century house, this casually elegant café offers a small but distinctive menu.

In addition to the octopi, other appetizers include chilled asparagus, warmed olives and baked goat cheese.

Among the six entrees you can select seared sea scallops with chorizo, risotto and Spring vegetables, or the barbecue St. Louis ribs with Napa cabbage slaw and house fries.

Many elements of the original home have been preserved in the home/café restoration, including dim lighting that makes us all look surprisingly good.

Felice offers happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. And for those who aren’t ready to relax (or re-relax) until later, their reverse happy hour on Friday and Saturday lasts from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.
