Black Violin Coming Back To Cain Park

From Cain Park: Classically trained musicians Black Violin bring their blend of classical and hip hop music to the Evans Amphitheater at Cain Park onSaturday, June 30 at 8:00 pm. The group uses their unique blend to overcome stereotypes while encouraging people of all ages, races, and economic backgrounds to join together to break down cultural barriers.
Tickets for this event are $35 for patrons ages 18 and over, $20 for 17 and under with a valid student ID, and $10 for 13 and under. $10 and $20 tickets are only available at the Cain Park Ticket Office and no discounts apply except for $35 tickets. Children 2 and under are free. Seating for this concert is general admission. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com (800-653-8000) or the Cain Park ticket office (216-371-3000). Cain Park is located at 14591 Superior Road in Cleveland Heights.
The Motorcars Free Parking Shuttle Service is available for this concert. The shuttle runs 7-8pm (it does not run during the concert) and up to one hour after the concert ends. Those interested should park at Cleveland Heights City Hall (40 Severance Circle).

Black Violin is led by classically trained string players Wil B. (viola) and Kev Marcus (violin), and joined onstage by DJ SPS and drummer Nat Stokes. In the past 12 months, the band has performed for over 100,000 students in the US and Europe, and has partnered with Yamaha EDU and NAMM (National Association of Music Manufactures) to continue supporting music education. Black Violin, alongside artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and Elton John, recently joined with Turnaround Arts to bring arts education to struggling schools in underserved communities.The group has collaborated professionally or performed with multiple artists including Kanye West, Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Wu-Tang Clan, Wyclef Jean and Alicia Keys. Their most recent album release, Stereotypes, hit #1 on Billboardβs Classical Crossover chart and #4 on Billboardβs R&B Chart.

Cain Park, a municipally owned and operated summer performing arts park and one of the nationβs oldest landmark outdoors celebrating its 80th season in 2018, is produced by the City of Cleveland Heights and is located on Superior Road between Lee and South Taylor roads.
