A Garage Cottage For The Fall Season

Fall is approaching, and it’s time to pull out the large brown paper landscape bags. Raking leaves, removing the annual’s spent blooms, for the last time. The temperature will be unpredictable and sometimes confusing. However, family time is still important and a time of joy.

You are probably putting away lawn furniture and tools. Carefully store your tools, but leave the garage space open and available to create a Fall Cottage. You can use your lawn furniture, but old used furniture creates the coziness of a cottage.

Use table lamps, silk ferns, old books, old magazines, a television, DVD player and fall colored pillows and throws for ambience.

The garage cottage can be used to read magazines on a cool crisp Fall day and have coffee or herb tea with your neighbor after a long day of Fall cleanup. We dine in the cottage and talk about what changes we would like to make in our gardens come next Spring.
