Ohio Redistricting Ballot Initiative - Have you signed a petition yet?

Help make the process more non-partisan so Ohio's districts reflect how Ohioan's are represented. Sign a petition this week at 2490 Lee Blvd in Cleveland Heights.

The Cleveland Heights Teachers Union office will be open weekdays, 10-2 through Friday, June 29 for voters to sign the petition to change the way district boundaries are drawn for state House, Senate and federal Congressional districts.  Partisan politics has always played a huge role in drawing district lines - whoever is in power at the time tries to ensure they stay in power.  An independent group, VOTERS FIRST OHIO has been formed, gained support from a large coalition of groups, and is now circulating peitions.  Read more on their site or the article on the Ohio Federation of Teachers website to learn more.  If you have time, watch the great presentation linked here that shows how ridiculous our current system is.

Time is limited. If you have not already signed, please come to  2490 Lee Blvd suite 106 in Cleveland Heights to sign this petition.  Call 216-321-0020 for more information.
