Picnic in your garage

Did you know your garage can be used for more than storing tools and parking cars? Safely secure your garden tools and chemicals. Keep your garage floor clean and free of clutter. Install a power strip outlet for small kitchen appliances and a music box.

Invest in two or three card table sets, a deck of playing cards and board games. Keep decorative table cloths and napkins on hand for a potluck dinner with a neighbor or two.

For ambience string tiny colored lights in the ceiling, add a colorful outdoor rug and pillows for the chairs.

Clear the open area and occasionally have a night of line dancing or exercises . . . I prefer Zumba. Pack meals in picnic baskets using the same outdoor rug and pillows, read stories to the children. This is a great idea when it is raining outside. Have a great day!

Tip for tea: green tea, frozen limeade mix, fresh lime slices, red cherries, and add a fresh sprig of spearmint from the herb garden.
