Sand, Stones, Soil and your Garden

Preparing your soil for planting after a long season of rain

It looks like the rain is letting up and maybe we can finally prepare the soil for planting. If you have standing water on your property, try adding a little sand and very small pebbles. If your planters are holding water, turn your soil and fold in a very small amount of sand and broken peices of clay pots. (This second tip is not recommended to use for your lawn.) Have a great day!

Tip for tea: lemon green tea, lemon drop martini mix, frozen lemonade mix, fresh lemon slices and a fresh sprig of lemon verbana from the herb garden.
