Star Night, Star Child Theme Party

Star Children Theme Party.

This party theme was inspired by my sweet little granddaughter who lives in California.

It was late evening, we were sitting on the bed in my home where there is a room decorated and dedicated to her which she calls the "Kima Hotel." I looked into her eyes and they really sparkled, and I said to her the "You are Mama Jenkins' Star Child." She giggled, and replied, "my eyes are sparkling because, it was night time, so it must be Star Night."

She asked me, "could we have a party about stars?" She knew her Mama Jenkins could pull a theme party together at the drop of a hat!

The theme party, "Star Night, Star Child," became a reality. Obviously it was all about stars.

The invitations were hand made and star shaped. I recommend this party for in the early evening, until sundown. Entertainment is provided by the children, and every Child is a Star!

Use star shaped party lights, and sprinkle plenty of star shaped confetti on the grass.

Use paper plates, cups, napkins and table cloths covered with stars. You can find these items at any Party Center store. Pickup a few bubble kits while you are there too.

Use large star shaped cookie cutters, for making sugar cookies. Serve them with bright colorful cool drinks.

Allow the children to shine. Showcase their talent, blow bubbles, and admire all the stars around them. Remember this is their night, and that they are the Stars!

Upon leaving, make sure that every child receives a large star personalized, with his or her name, date it and send them off with a little note . . . This is a Star night for a Star Child.

Have a great day!
