The Victorian Tea Party

This is one of my all-time favorite theme parties.

The Victorian Tea Party is a reflection of my love for vintage clothing, collectibles and interior design.

The party usually happens in mid July, a day filled with sunshine. The Ladies wear large Victorian summer hats and gloves. They also bring a tea cup with a sealed tea bag.

The setup is outside with plenty of linen, lace tablecloths and napkins. We use our finest china, crystal and silverware. We serve a variety of teas and light pastries.

The tea cups and sealed teabags that were brought by the guests are wrapped in Victorian sheets of paper. We give them to a homebound senior citizen, or someone living in a nearby nursing facility. Have a great day!

Tip for tea: green peppermint tea, apple martini mix, apple juice, a stick of peppermint, a fresh sprig of peppermint from the herb garden.
