Why "Yes" On The Tax Abatement & Unappraised Land Give-Away?

The BOE's administration wants the BOE to aid and abet the CH council in their disregard for their citizens and state law. We deserve better, goddammit!

For three months I have written and documented chapter and verse on why the proposed tax abated apartment building at Lee-Meadowbrook-Tullamore - involving about $5 MILLION of taxpayers' assets being given to these developers - is a crappy deal for the taxpayers and students of the CH-UH school district.

Here's a link to my blog postings on the subject:

The district's administration, I have been told, has recommended that the BOE vote "Yes" on the 80% abatement for 11 years..

I've laid out the story for "No" in great detail. Not a thing I've posted has been challenged or refuted. In fact, the developers' rosy and unattainable "Cleveland Heights Benefits" projections have been revised downward, from $53 MILLION on July 17, to $43 MILLION on August 17, to $2.3 MILLION on October 16. Yes, two point three million. That's less than half of what we're giving away.

Anybody know the story for "Yes"?

Because I've asked everybody involved, and not a one of them has given me a single meaningful response.

They will vote on Monday, at the re-scheduled BOE meeting. Please attend, and tell the BOE you don't want this lousy deal.
