Event Details
Greta Garbo made her American debut at MGM in 1926. Flesh and the Devil, her third film that for the studio that year, is famous for launching the smoldering affair between Garbo and costar John Gilbert. Come see the film that launched a legend paired with a compelling original jazz score performed live by the Dan Bruce Trio. Reception to follow in the lobby. This event continues the Cleveland Silent Film Festival’s mission to present silent-era cinema with live accompaniment by professional musicians. By attending, you support ongoing screenings and educational workshops for local music students and the public.
