Cleveland Heights Citizens Police Academy Seeks Participants

Residents can participate in a six-week course led by trained law enforcement.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” The Cleveland Heights police department's Citizens Police Academy is now accepting applications from interested residents. The six-week program will give participants an inside look at law enforcement in Cleveland Heights.

The Citizens Police Academy will be led by trained law enforcement and will run from August 11 to September 30. Participants will interact with police and learn about procedures, investigations and operations and bond with officers.

"The Cleveland Heights Police Department's goal of the academy is to improve relations with our citizens and to keep and maintain a relationship with graduates of the Citizens Police Academy," the city said in an email blast.

After the six-week program is completed, graduates will become members of the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, continuing their relationship with both the police department and the academy.

Residents who want to participate in the Citizens Police Academy should complete an application and submit it prior to August 1.
