Cleveland Heights Historic 1st Mayoral Primary Unofficial Results

Voters moved Cleveland Heights one step closer to electing its first mayor on Tuesday night.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Kahlil Seren and Barbara Danforth will compete to be Cleveland Heights' first mayor, based on unofficial primary results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Voters headed to booths throughout the city to cast their ballots in the first-ever Heights mayoral primary on Tuesday. The two candidates receiving the most votes will move on to the November general election, where the city's first mayor will be selected.

The three candidates appearing on ballots Tuesday were: Kahlil Seren, Melody Joy Hart, Barbara Danforth. With all scanners reported in, Danforth appears to have received the most votes, with Seren in second place. Joy Hart finished third.

Kahlil Seren — 2,523 votes

Melody Joy Hart — 1,002 votes

Barbara Danforth — 3,088 votes

Polls opened at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday and closed at 7:30 p.m.
