Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools: Kindergarten Registration Info
Is your youngster ready to start school? Here's what you'll need to know to get them registered for kindergarten.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH - Future Tigers will soon be able to start their academic career in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights school system. Kindergarten registration opens Feb. 27. Registration is by appointment only.
Children must be 5-years-old by Sept. 30 of the year they'll attend school to register.
To register your child for CHUH kindergarten, you'll need to scheduled an appointment with the Registration Department by calling 216-371-7430. The department is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The list of documents you'll need for registration include:
- Birth certificate or passport
- Custody papers - If there's been a divorce or if you're the child's legal guardian)
- Medical information - Record of all required immunizations; Health Action Plan if the student has health needs
- Parent/Guardian identification - Driver's license or photo ID card
- Proof of Residency in the school district - This can include two pieces of mail addressed to your residency in the past 30 days. You'll also have to provide one of the following: mortgage document or purchase agreement with closing document; current signed lease and a utility bill in your name; or a Property Owner Affidavit, which lists all residents in the house.
