Cleveland Heights-University Heights Superintendent Issues Statement on Levy Passing

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH - A 5.5 mill levy to support Cleveland Heights-University Heights schools and fund them for the next five years was passed Nov. 8. District Superintendent Talisa Dixon issued a statement congratulating and thanking residents for their support.

I first want to say a heartfelt thank you to the CH-UH community for supporting our schools. We are obviously thrilled with the result of Issue 109, and we appreciate the trust that the voters have in our public schools.
The work doesn't stop here, however. We must continue to earn the support and the trust of our community and strive towards our goal of academic excellence for each and every student. Our five-year Strategic Plan clearly sets us on this path to successβ€”we have seen improvements in district operations already and expect to realize even more positive results moving forward.
As I have said many times before, strong communities deserve strong schools. As the leader of our school district, I am proud to live and work in such a vibrant community that is rich in culture and opportunities for all.
Finally, I want to thank all of the community volunteers who worked so hard to pass this levy. Your efforts on behalf of our students and our staff and your belief in the district did not go unnoticed.
