Coventry Road Library Gets Facelift

Cleveland Heights' historical branch is getting a $221,000 tuckpointing.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The University Heights library isn’t the only Heights Libraries branch undergoing renovations. The beloved Coventry Road library is getting a facelift of its own.

The branch’s entire exterior will undergo a tuckpointing, for a cost of $221,000. The funds will come from the library’s Building and Repair fund. The Coventry Road library is the system’s oldest branch and is on the Cleveland Heights historical register, so great care is being taken to preserve the building, says Sheryl Banks, marketing and community relations manager for the library.

The tuckpointing should be completed by early October. Until then, the front entrance of the library will be closed and visitors will need to use the side entrance on the lower level.
