Deaf Performer John Maucere Bringing One-Man Show To Heights High
Maucere's November 5 performance will be free, thanks to the generosity of the Heights Libraries.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Deaf entertainer John Maucere will perform at the Cleveland Heights-University Heights High School Auditorium on November 5. Maucere has worked with Eva Longoria, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson, and ABC's Talent Development Program.
Maucere's appearance will be November 5 at 7 p.m. The event is free and is being organized by the Heights Libraries, who continue to offer diverse programming to the community. The library system said the funding for the event was provided in the name of Shony Long, manager of the Coventry Library Branch from 1985 to 1992, who initiated the branch's services to the local Deaf community.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer this show free of admission due to the generosity of the estate of Shony Long,” said Librarian Ben Gulyas, who is in charge of services and programming for the local Deaf and hard-of-hearing community at Heights Libraries’ Coventry branch.
