Dobama Offering Pay-As-You-Can Performance Of 'Grounded'

The theatre said it wants to make art available to everyone. So anything over $1 will get you into a performance of "Grounded."

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH β€” In an attempt to make theater more accessible to everyone, Dobama is offering a pay-as-you-can performance of its upcoming play "Grounded." On Sunday, attendees can pay as little as $2 to see a production of the show (Dobama said anything over $1 will get a patron into the performance).

"Grounded" is the story of an ace fighter pilot who has her career in the sky ended early due to an unexpected pregnancy. Reassigned to operate military drones from a windowless trailer outside Las Vegas, she hunts terrorists by day and returns home to her family each night. As the pressure to track a high-profile target mounts, the boundaries begin to blur between the desert in which she lives and the one she patrols half a world away.

Dobama is offering preview performances of the show on Wednesday and Thursday with all tickets selling for $15. The show then officially opens on Friday. Then, on Sunday at 7:30 p.m., the theatre will offer its pay-as-you-can performance.
