"The Effect" Premieres Friday In Cleveland Heights

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — Dobama Theatre's latest production, "The Effect", will debut Friday night. Tickets for the production have already gone on sale.

Dobama describes the play like this. "Connie and Tristan are volunteers in a clinical drug trial, but when they begin a sudden and illicit romance they must ask themselves: is theirs a palpable chemistry - or is it a side effect of the new antidepressant being tested? As their relationship forces the supervising doctors to face off over the ethical consequences of their work, the story begins to unwind in a script that plays like a thriller."

Dobama's production will be directed by Laley Lippard. She is the co-founding executive producer and director of the Chicago Home Theater, a city-wide event designed to disrupt injustice.

Shows will continue until March 25. Tickets will be $29-$32. Discounts will be available for seniors, students and military members. March 4 will the pay-as-you-can performance.
