Almeda Trio to Perform at Fairmount Church

The Almeda Trio, featuring pianist Robert Cassidy, cellist Ida Mercer and violinist Cara Tweed, will perform Tangos and More! on Sunday, February 12, at 1:15 p.m., Fairmount Presbyterian Church, 2757 Fairmount Blvd. in Cleveland Heights.

The program will feature Mozart's Trio in C Major, Astor Piazzolla's Cuatro Estaciones Portenas and Paul Ferguson's Solstice Suite. Together since 2008, the Almeda Trio is trio-in-residence at The Music Settlement where they are on faculty. Cassidy and Tweed are also on faculty at Cleveland State University; Mercer is on faculty at Case Western Reserve University.

The concert is part of the Fairmount Music Series. A free-will offering will be taken at the performance.

A brunch will be served at the church at 12:15 p.m, to which concert-goers are invited. A $5.00 donation is suggested. Reservations are needed for brunch; please call the church office at 216-321-5800 weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
