This benefit supports the charitable work of the North Union Farmers Market. It starts at 5:30 with a panel discussion called "Local Flavors" with Ben Bebenroth, local-food expert and founder and chef of Spice of Life Catering Co. and Spice Kitchen + Bar; Jeni Britton Bauer, nationally renowned ice cream artisan, owner of Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, bestselling author of "Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams at Home" and winner of the James Beard Award; and Chris Hodgson, runner-up on Food Network's The Great Food Truck Race and owner of Hodge's in downtown Cleveland. The moderator will be Michael Ruhlman, culinary author and television personality.
At 6:30, head out to the Geis Terrace for food, drink, merry-making and music by the Tofu Fighters.
